Annual Exhibition 2016 Layouts Confirmed

Since the Nailsea and District Model Railway Club’s Annual Exhibition earlier this year, planning has been ongoing for next year’s annual exhibition. This is just a quick update to announce which layouts are planned to appear on display at this event in March 2016.


Horsecreek Wyoming – HO scale by Peter Everitt.

Set in North America circa 1950s to 1970s featuring realistic sound systems and superb scenic details.


Great Swilling – EM scale by David Burnett.

This layout is set in the area between Bristol and Glouscester and covers a wide time span from 1948 to 1972, so both steam and diesel are operated by both the Midland and Western regions of BR.


Three Bridges Jcn – OO scale by Barry Larkin.

A new layout to display Barry’s large selection of diesels in the period 1970s to 1990s.


Yatcombe Town – 3mm (TT) scale, 12mm gauge by Doug Richards.

This is a fictional layout set on the South Western Division of BR(SR) circa 1960.


Bridport Town – O-16.5 scale by David Taylor.

A very attractive narrow gauge model set in Dorset.


Benter Railway – OO-9 scale by John Perrett.

This model is based on Moorewood Colliery and tramway which was in the southern Mendip coalfield in Somerset.


Ynysybwl – EM scale by Cardiff 4mm EM Group.

This layout is set in 1922 and replicates the Taff Vale Railway and station at this location.


Dentdale – N scale by Bob Taylor and colleagues.

This very scenic layout is set in the high altitude section of the Settle and Carlisle Railway and represents any period from the 1950s to the present day.


Lydgate Colliery – OO scale by Dave Spencer.

This is a fictional colliery layout set in the Forest of Dean during British Railways era with both steam and diesel featured.


Chalworth – O scale by Phil Dawling.

This layout is fictional and based on the Southern Railway in Dorset near Weymouth.


Quay 87′ – P87 scale by Brian Harrap.

A delightful layout which incorporates superb modelling of canals, swing bridges, wagon hoists, turntables and tramways.


Wheal Elizabeth – P4 scale by Andy Ullyott.

This is a fictional Cornish china clay works layout set in the British Railways era with both steam and diesel featured.


Bahnbetriebswerk – HO scale by Doug Tompkins.

This is a fictional layout set in the Federal Republic of Germany near the East German border circa 1979 to 1984.


Heybridge Wharf – 3mm scale, 14.2mm gauge by Mike Corp.

A superb new layout built by Mike to celebrate the 3mm Society’s 50th Anniversary in 2015.


Club Test Track – N and OO circuits that the visiting public are welcome to test their models on.
