End of July 2016 Update
Monday 1st August 2016
As we enter the summer holiday season, things quieten down at the Nailsea and District Model Railway Club, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing going on.
Progress has continued with wiring up the track and point motors on club layout Nailsea Wharf, scenic work has begun on N gauge club layout Dixon’s Gate and various members have also continued working on some of their own modelling projects. Featured in the photo below is a small model steam locomotive kit produced by Fascinations, Inc. in their Metal Earth 3D Metal Model Kits range. While not an exact scale replica, the one pound coin shows the small size of the static model and with the folded tab system of assembly makes it a good way of practicing small scale modelling without requiring glue or solder.
This month’s running night saw a few HSTs in OO and N gauge running on the club’s test track and a couple of HO scale New South Wales C32 class steam locos also made an appearance amongst other rolling stock.
