G Scale at Upcoming Open Day 2014

Monday 10th November 2014

As part of the Nailsea and District Model Railway Club’s Open Day on the 7th December this year, the largest scale models on display will be in G Scale on one of our members’ layouts.

‘Paley Green’ is a G scale tramway layout depicting part of an old tramway that has been closed and then re-built by some enthusiasts in the park, establishing a transport museum in the process. While it may be deemed quite a large size to model in, G scale is very often used for garden railways, so as long as you have a garden, there’s still space to build a model railway somewhere, even if it isn’t in the house.

Unfortunately, I don’t currently have any pictures of this layout, so if you wish to see more, come along to the show. We’ll be happy to see you there.

Check back next week for more information on some of the displays that will be at our Open Day.
