June 2018 Update

Sunday 3rd June 2018

Earlier this month, during one of the Nailsea and District Model Railway Club’s modelling evenings, one of our members brought along an entire layout to work on. Pictured below is the basic model railway, built to fit easily on a coffee table, under going scenic work. This layout was intended for a childs first model railway featuring OO9 narrow gauge and shows you don’t need much space for a complete model railway.

We’ve also seen some OO gauge Bachmann ready to run locomotives that have been converted to EM gauge with extra detailing added. Photographed below are Class 1F number 41748 in early BR black livery and Class 3MT number 82040 in late BR green livery.

The test tracks have also seen plenty of use again this month from models old and new. Featured below is an old Wrenn produced OO gauge model of a West Country class locomotive, which ran as smoothly as a more recent O gauge pannier tank released by Dapol. Also pictured below is a short O gauge milk train consisting of a Western class diesel with a six wheeled milk tank and brake van.
