Set up for the show began on Friday evening with Nailsea and District Model Railway Club members moving tables and chairs in the School’s atrium and the classroom that was to be used. Once the space had been cleared, marking out for where each of the exhibitors and traders were to be began. Unfortunately due to some minor mis-calculations when drawing up the plan, a couple of the larger layouts didn’t fit where they were intended to go. However, because this was discovered during the marking out, they were able to be relocated, ensuring everything would fit, before the exhibitors arrived.

During the Friday evening set up, a run to the local chip shop was done for exhibitors and anyone helping with set up. When the food arrived, everyone gathered around the stairs and seating area towards the end of the atrium to eat.

Meal Time During Friday Set Up

After set up was completed on the Saturday morning, opening time provided a busy start to the exhibition, a short queue having already formed outside. The Sunday was much quieter with a more steady flow of visitors, however overal the weekend saw a successful show. At the entrance to the show, donations were being taken for the show guides, which raised a total of £250 for the Children’s Hospice South West.
